Dale 1891 Gastro Pub

I was frankly shocked to show up at the front door to find the old Irish Obriens pub closed, and in it's place, a completely gutted and spare-no-expense (at least from the look of it) Gastropub... in Carrollwood. Interior looks great, open floor plan, long bar with a dozen flat panel HD t.v.'s playing football, and zero smoky smell (Obriens was very dingy) it's a completely different place. Talked to the bartender, and ordered a Fish n' Chips. It was awesome. Told the bartender how great the Fish n' Chips were (as good as Mad Dogs and Englishmen, if not better) and then the chef came out and told me he used to work at Mad Dogs and also Datz Deli, two of my fav. places in Tampa. Nice guy. Beer selection was great. Liquor selection looks ridiculous and huge. Will be a repeat customer.
