Shackleton's Folly Bar & Grill is Saint Petersburg's first Gastropub and features great food, best music and unbeatable drink specials with a well loved atmosphere. Shackleton's Folly owner Dan Soronen and Executive Chef/General Manager Javier DeJesus are two of the industries most passionate men about serving great food and providing everyone a great comfortable atmosphere. The unique concept is inspired by Ernest Shackleton's many trips across the seas. "Ernest Shackleton was a guy that headed south when everyone advised against it. He led expeditions to the South Pole, where he became stranded and so became one of the greater survival stories of the time. His own men thought the idea of going that far south was "pure Folly." Dan combined the look of many of his favorite places, from different regions, to create a unique place that would look like no other. Shackleton's Folly offers a mix of live music and DJs spinning great dance tunes. Our well stocked bar and great bartenders will create any drink you can imagine. Our large screen TVs make Shackleton's Folly a great place to catch your favorite team. During football or baseball season, we are a favorite spot for all friends. Shackleton's Folly has all the ingredients for a great time.

Dan Soronen is the poorest excuse of a leader/business owner he doesn't care about anyone but himself and his image or perception of him looking good. The man is broke he doesn't pay his bills, never takes responsibility for anything and the worst thing of all he doesn't pay good hard working employees the money due to them. Over three months now but what do you expect from someone who constantly drinks himself to the point of embarassment in front of his staff and guest's. It's a matter of time before this ship sinks....sad just ask any employee someone needs to stop this abuse of authority.....
