On Wednesday, April 3, Gerry Ronkin, Temple Beth Sholom's Director of Philanthropy and former Executive Director, and Alfred Kohn will speak about the Jews of Shanghai during World War II. Gerry became fascinated with the subject during a recent trip to China. Alfred lived in Shanghai from 1938 to 1947 and celebrated his Bar Mitzvah there.
