In preparation for Sarasota Opera's upcoming production of Carlisle Floyd's opera "Of Mice and Men", based on the novel and play by John Steinbeck, Sarasota Opera and the Asolo Conservatory will present their third annual "Spoken and Sung". Actors from the Asolo Conservatory will present sections from Steinbeck's play, followed by Sarasota Opera Studio Artists performing the corresponding scenes from the Opera.
