Marlene VerPlanck enjoys the admiration of a legion of fans, and peers as well. She collaborated throughout her long career with her husband, arranger, composer, and conductor Billy Ver Planck. Her 17th album, My Impetuous Heart, reunited her with old friends Hank Jones, George Shearing, Marian McPartland and Bucky Pizzarelli.
