Intro to Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Liana Sheintal Bryant
Ashtanga Yoga is a physically demanding practice synchronizing breath with movement through a set series of progressive postures to build strength, flexibility, and stamina. In this workshop, Liana will introduce the poses in a manner that promotes safety and alignment, establishing the foundation for an Ashtanga Yoga practice. Ujjayi breathing technique, use of bandhas (internal muscular locks), and drishti (gaze point) will be introduced.
