Called the Jascha Heifetz of our day, violinist and Bradenton resident James Ehnes has been hailed by critics for his solid technique and understanding of music history. His recordings have won numerous awards, including a Grammy. He was named Young Artist of the Year at the Cannes Classical Awards for his “Six Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin” by Bach. Ehnes tours worldwide with his 1715 "Marsick" Stradivarius and is also the artistic director of the Seattle Chamber Music Society.
