The most well-rounded movie of the year. It tells how The crew of the Enterprise came together. Plenty of action, a surprise romance, and a great villain as portrayed by Eric Bana. The casting was true to the history of the TV episodes. Many a nod was given to old Trek episodes, including Capt. Pike, a green love interest for Kirk and many others. Will go see it again. Well worth the $9 tx.

We learn about how Kirk joined Star Fleet, Meets McCoy, Sulu, Checkov, Spock, Uhura and more. Uhura had a relationship with one of them! Star Trek is over 2 hours, but doesn't feel like it. Very fast-paced and great action and special effects. Plus we get to see Leonard Nimoy again. I also loved all of the inside jokes that you would know if you have seen the other Star Treks. This is a very fun movie. You will laugh and cry. I'm going to see it again tomorrow. When is the next one coming? If I could give it 5 stars, I would. This is one of the top 10 movies that I have ever seen.
