Humane Society of the Nature Coast in Brooksville holds monthly orientations for new volunteers. Animal care volunteers keep the animals and the shelter appealing to the public by providing a clean environment and exercising, socializing, bathing and grooming shelter animals. Volunteers in this area increase the animals' chances for adoption by keeping them cared for and presentable. After orientation, come to the shelter at 8 a.m. or 4 p.m. for daily cleaning and feeding. Community Service hours are accepted.
