International Productions by Tahja is proud to announce a great event coming up Sunday 27th of January, "Tahja's Tropical Carnivale Revue". This is destined to be the debut of a series of shows with different themes, one more exciting and exotic than the other.
The setting is a tribute to early 20th century Paris "Cafe-Concert" genre, a place where there is no boundary between the performing artists and, you, the patrons of the art. This music and dance show is destined to bring us close to… Show more each other in a "music-hall" atmosphere reminiscent of European cabarets.
The theme this time would be set up at the Tropics where you will be delighted by a mélange of Samba, Latino, Flamenco with a unique twist. You will see flamboyant costumes, exciting choreography, a great troupe of beautiful dancers, you will be enchanted by a live band performing for your pleasure, also other various entertaining acts... Most of all, you will have a chance to socialize, connect, make new friends and ultimately creating a community. Bring your Carnival dress and dress in a snazzy attire and get ready to kick up your heels with a fun evening of dancing and entertainment, all for a very good cause.
We start promptly at 6.30 and will end at 10.30. Price is $25/person in advance. The venue is an aptly called hall, Renaissance Center, located in Bradenton, only 20 minutes from Downtown Sarasota. For location and details, click on this link. They will offer a buffet-style healthy dinner with some organic ingredients. Cost is $15/person + tax and tips. Proceeds go to the "Meals on Wheels" program. There will also be a cash bar available.
This event is also a benefit show, let's call it a "Fun-raiser" for Catalin, who was told he has advanced cancer, not treatable by traditional methods. He is on a remarkable journey of restoring, his health by courageously doing an intensive alternative treatment known as "Gerson therapy". He is in his fourth month of this treatment is doing great! Not only that, but this date marks his 50th birthday, so it is a fitting time to have a celebration with friends, new and old.
